Reverend Lucien Lussier died this morning November 2nd, 2016, All Souls’ Day at Montfort Hospital. Father Lussier was 93 years old and in his 61st year of the priesthood. He was ordained to the priesthood on March 27, 1955. Father Lussier was Associate Pastor at Nativité (1955). He was Pastor at the following parishes: St-Laurent, Curry Hill (1963-1965), St-Martin-de-Tours, Glen Robertson (1965-1968), St. William’s, Martintown (1968-1972), St. Paul’s, Dalkeith (1972-1979), St. Alexander’s, Lochiel (1972-1979) and Our Lady of the Angels, Moose Creek (1979-1993). From 1955 to 1963 Father Lussier was the director of the Diocesan Retreat Centre in Alexandria, something he was very proud of.
He retired in 1993 and was in residence at Madonna Care Community, Orleans.

Dear brother of André Lussier. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Roland, Albert, Jospeph, René, Napoleon, Louis, Ludger, Jean, Laurent, Gertrude, Charles Lussier and Pauline Howland.
Solemn Translation to Nativity Co-Cathedral, 220 Montreal Road, Cornwall for the Liturgy of the Word on Sunday November 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Thence to lie in state from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in Nativity Co-Cathedral on Monday November 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM. His Grace Archbishop Terrence Prendergast, Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese Alexandria-Cornwall presiding.
Thence to South Coast Funeral Home 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River Massachusetts where visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 PM followed by the Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell in St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church on Thursday November 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, Massachusetts. If so desired contributions in his memory to the Priest Pension Fund would be appreciated by the family.
